BLAINE, Minn. (June 12, 2025) – Houston Dynamo 2 fell 4-1 on the road to Minnesota United FC 2 at National Sports Center Stadium earlier this evening.
The match saw attacker Joshua Bolma score his first Dynamo 2 goal, defender Gavin Wolff record his first professional assist and defender Juan Viveros make his first start for Dynamo 2, after making his MLS NEXT Pro debut this past weekend in a 1-1 draw versus Sporting Kansas City II.
Bolma’s goal came in the 76th minute after a corner from midfielder Lukas Bruegmann was redirected by Wolff in the center of the box, setting up Bolma for a right-footed finish at the back post.
Minnesota took the lead in the 17th minute when Luke Hille found the back of the net from the penalty spot after midfielder Enrique Correa was deemed to have fouled an MNUFC2 player inside the box.
Aidan Martinez doubled Minnesota’s lead in the 46th minute with a shot that found the top right corner, following a pass from goalkeeper Kai Zeruhn. The Loons scored their third goal of the match in the 74th minute when Loïc Mesanvi found the back of the net from inside the box.
Issa Saidi scored Minnesota’s fourth and final goal of the night in the 77th minute with a right-footed finish at the back post after receiving a ball from Curt Calov.
Dynamo Dos’ first shot on goal came in the first minute when forward Exon Arzú took his chances from outside the box with a right-footed strike that found the hands of Zeruhn.
Viveros found forward David Garcia in the box in the 28th minute for a header that forced Zeruhn to get up high for the save.
Goalkeeper Pedro Cruz was called into action in the 43rd minute when a header from Mesanvi inside the box forced the Brazilian to react quickly and safety secure the shot. The shot stopper finished the night with three saves.
Forward Andy Batioja found Correa at the back post in the 68th minute for a powerful header that sailed over the crossbar.
